FEA Consulting Engineer (Femap)

 

Position Overview

We are looking for creative, talented and experienced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and test data analysis FEA Engineer to Join our FEA Consulting Team.
In this Finite Element consulting position, you will be responsible for performing FEA analysis simulation, Complex Multiphysics Simulation, performing FEA Modeling Services and parametric analysis on components, subsystems and system. This includes performing FEA Stress analysis testing and analysis to isolate the failures and performing physical failure analysis to locate the defect.
The Finite Element Analysis FEA Consulting Engineer will be in key leadership and very visible positions interfacing with Head of Simulation as the primary owner and driver of ensuring reliable design validation processes that meets or exceed customers’ expectations through innovative use of Finite Element Analysis Software tools to perform FEA engineering services and various FEA Simulation predictions.

 

Responsibilities

The candidate’s primary responsibility will be using FEA software to perform Finite Element Analysis Services as well as development and implementation of methodologies/techniques, (esp. FEA but not limited to ) to enhance product reliability.
As part of the FEA Consulting Services that we provide to Clients, the candidate will be required to analyze and verify engineering design concepts of electro and opto-mechanical products using Failure analysis techniques, simulation and test tools. He/she will be expected to propose design improvement based on analyses results.
 
When rendering the FEA analysis services, the individual should be able to use knowledge of FEA analysis software, and Experience in product design and manufacturing Methodologies to develop Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Knowledge of statistical techniques and models is required to analyze test data and estimate product life cycle performance.
 
The successful candidate should be considered as an expert FEA Consultant in his or her technical field as well as having a proven track record of success in providing FEA Services to companies.
In addition to providing Finite element analysis service, the candidate for this Finite element analyst role must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the significance of time to market, risk mitigation, contingency plans, return on investment, etc.

 

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

  1. Strong FEA Consultancy background in solid mechanics and material science, and experience in contact mechanics, Structural Failure analysis for fracture mechanics and/or computational fluid mechanics is preferred.

  2.  

    Have knowledge and experience in previous FEA companies on modeling of structural fatigue for Failure analysis prediction, structural modal analysis, vibration, and shock/drop analysis. Thermal fluid simulation experience is a plus.

  3.  
    Expert at numerical methods for performing Stress analysis services and FEM Thermal Analysis Simulation, including theory and hands on experience on FEA Modelling software, e.g. Siemens Femap FEA Software, ANSYS Mechanical, ABAQUS FEM analysis software, Hypermesh FEM Finite element method software, etc.
