Featured Gear Failure Analysis Case Studies


1. FEA Analysis over In-ground tank

The hydro-static and buckling analyses are performed over the In-ground tank. The scope of this project is to reduce the material needed for production and improving the performance of the tank. 
The main objectives of the projects are to carry out the linear static analysis and buckling for the given tank with 8mm thickness and 10 mm thickness with the LDPE & MDPE material properties and ensure the secure storage of water in underground tanks

2. Modal and Fatigue Analysis on Planetary Gear

In these projects, two different simulations are carried out which are Modal and fatigue analysis over the wind turbine epicyclic gearbox. In a modal analysis, natural frequency and the displacement magnitude are carried out. 
The Vibration modes of the planetary gears are enumerated. In fatigue analysis, two simulations are performed such as with crack and without crack. The failure stage of the gears is identified at a high cyclic load. The complete simulation is performed using the ABAQUS CAE tool.

3. Static Structural Analysis over Helicopter Components.

The linear static analysis is performed over the helicopter components such as landing gear assembly, Tail boom assembly, and main rotor assembly. 
The complete product development is involved in this project which includes Product Design and Development, CFD, FEA, and Prototype. Our FEA Consultant have worked with FEA team and learned the industrial process flow activities to Design and perform buckling analysis of blended wing body
