CFD Optimization of HVAC ducts for Refrigerator Fresh Food and Freezer Compartments.

Objective:

BroadTech Engineering was appointed as the CFD Services company responsible for carrying out the HVAC CFD Study for this CFD Consulting Project.
This CFD Fluid Flow Simulation aims to Optimize the ducts for Refrigerator Fresh Food and Freezer Compartments.

Methodology:

3D CFD Air Flow Analysis in Ansys Fluent Solver with complete Refrigerator Fluid Flow Model

Outcome:

Flow pattern across the refrigerator fresh food and freezer compartments obtained from the CFD Simulation results performed by our CFD Engineer in our CFD Research and Consultancy Team suggest the design recommendations based on velocity profile, and flow pattern to avoid icing on ducts and improve the system performance.
 

 

CFD studies to design dirt protection system of power generation gas turbine

 

Simulation objective:

We were tasked as the CFD Consulting company to Perform CFD Modeling Services study to predict the trajectory of dirt particles and device dirt shield designs

Methodology:

Created robust CFD Simulation methodology using the Eulerian-Lagrangian approach in STAR-CCM+ and performed uncertainty quantification for different dirt particle parameters

Outcome:

CFD Flow Simulation studies performed helped to understand the risk zones inside gas turbines and multiple dirt shield concepts were evaluated.
Our CFD Consultant Submitted 3 ID for patent filling related to dirt shield design.
 
 

 

Analysis of Charge air coolers (CAC), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), and Oil coolers

 

Objective:

As part of the CFD Consulting Services scope of work, We were tasked as the Computational Fluid Dynamics Company to perform the CFD Design optimization of CAC’s, EGR’s and Oil coolers using CFD Fluid Flow Analysis Simulation.

Methodology:

The CAD models of CAC’s and EGR’s according to the customer requirement were analyzed by performing CFD Analysis Simulation using Ansys ICEM CFD.

Conclusion:

Quantitative predictions were delivered through the use of Computational Flow Simulation and design changes were suggested for problematic Computational Fluid Dynamic Simulation results.
 
 

 

CFD Simulation of wet steam in a supersonic micro nozzle

Our CFD Consultants have done projects on Ansys Fluent and Simcenter Star CCM+ for CFD Modeling Simulation wet steam in a supersonic micro nozzle for various Client work.

Objective:

The objective of this CFD Analysis Services project was to simulate vaporization liquid micro thruster that can be used in a vacuum as well as in sea level operating conditions.
A wet steam two-phase flow-based model is used to simulate the above-mentioned condition.
Apart from this, Our CFD Consultants have also used Ansys Mechanical CFD structural to simulate a micro force sensor for my Ph.D. project. Micro force sensors work in the range of 1 micro-Newton to 1 milli-newton and using various loading conditions the sensor has been fabricated using 3D printing and later validated with the CFD Simulation result.
 
 

 

Tata motors HVAC acoustic simulation.

We were the CFD Consultancy in charge of this HVAC Acoustic CFD consulting project.

Objective:

As part of the scope of work required for the CFD Services provided, we were required to perform HVAC system Acoustic noise prediction through CFD Fluid Dynamic Analysis simulation
– the parameter I was the full and complex system of the blower, filters, vents, and baffles
– We used Hexcore polyhedral mesh with SBES scale resolving hybrid models to obtain high-quality Computational Fluid Analysis results which matched experimental results very well.
– The in-depth understanding of physics through the use of CFD Flow Analysis led to winning the trust from customer and we were able to displace competition CFD Software tools.
