Increasing loading capacity of the car dumper

1. FEA Simulation objective: 
The objective of the project was to increase the loading capacity of a car damper by 30 tonnes. We used stress analysis in Abaqus and simulated all components to check the safety factors. With the results of these stress simulations, we changed the design of critical components and checked the design again.

Failure analysis of straighter and structural modification in the equipment.

The objective of this project was to find the failure source of straighter in a steel company. Again, we calculated the required forces for the straighter and analysed all components, with a special focus on the roller.
We figured out that the current design of the rolling line is not for group 5 sheets with high thickness. Therefore, we modified the end section design of roller, changed the bearing and sealing sizes and fixing components. With this technique, we omit the failure in the roller, but the bearing life is reduced.
